Does this guy like me or WHAT?

I am over 40, plus size, funny and single. He is 28, athlete, very handsome and new to our office as of 3 weeks ago. We work in the same office, but not on the same account.
He and I briefly chat when we are near and trade emails about fun things. (All clean).
We chat at happy hours with other people and also office events.
Last night around 7, he called my desk as I was working late too, and we chatted for a while. Rather than sit on the phone, I suggested going for a beer to “hang out”, which we did. It was just 1 drink, but we sat and talked and had a great time til about 9 pm. We were both tired and decided to leave. Chatting near our cars about stupid stuff”…I said “well, goodnight” and was ready to give him a “knucklebump” but he opened his arms and gave me a hug (which wasn’t sexual…just warm). We walked to our cars and he said “lets do this again sometime”. I agreed. Today at work he’s friendly, but not intimate. Is he building a “friendship” or does he like me?

I would say friends but to be honest it might be more. You kept it all on a friendly term and he stayed in that gray area but still on the friends side of the fence. He is not in high school so if he were to like you he would have been more forward with his intentions. Keep spending time with him and see where he steers the relationship.
